GLEDOPTO GL-C-016WL-D – ESP32 UART WLED Controller for Digital LED Lighting
The GLEDOPTO GL-C-016WL-D is a powerful and versatile WLED controller designed for controlling modern digital LED lighting systems. With up to 10 A output per channel and a total output of 15 A, it provides stable and reliable performance for demanding LED installations.
The controller connects via WiFi and supports a wide range of popular digital LED chipsets, including WS2812B, WS2813, WS2815, WS2811, SM16703P, SK6812, GS8208, and TM1814. It operates on 5 V, 12 V, and 24 V systems, making it suitable for a broad range of lighting applications. The screw terminals support cable sizes from 0.34 to 4 mm² (22–12 AWG) for secure wiring.
An integrated microphone enables audio-reactive lighting effects, allowing LEDs to respond dynamically to music and sound. The controller features a modern USB Type-C port for fast UART firmware flashing and configuration, and is fully compatible with the WLED app for intuitive control and customisation.
With support for up to 800 ICs, the GL-C-016WL-D allows precise individual pixel control, making it ideal for complex LED layouts and creative lighting designs. Its robust design and flexible feature set make it well suited for home automation, smart lighting systems, and professional LED projects.
The built-in relay function automatically disconnects power to the LEDs when they are switched off, improving safety and energy efficiency. This can be configured in the WLED settings by disabling the “Invert” option for the assigned relay GPIO, such as GPIO12.
